Web Survey Bibliography
Die technologische Entwicklung schreitet immer schneller voran und stellt damit Marktforscher vor die große Herausforderung, überhaupt Schritt zu halten. Die Marktforschung als jahrzehntelanger "Gralshüter der Erkenntnis“ um Zielgruppenbedürfnisse droht abgehängt zu werden. Denn nie war Kommunikation direkter und einfacher als heute. Der 24/7-Status macht's möglich. Die selbstkritische Frage muss daher gestellt werden: „Wozu überhaupt ein Marktforschungsinstitut? Welchen Beitrag leistet Marktforschung heute noch, wenn es – ketzerisch betrachtet - keines Profis mehr bedarf, weil jeder einzelne seine Wünsche, Meinungen, Einstellungen von Menschen nur zu gern in Social Media Foren und Communities kundtut und die Informationen lediglich abgeschöpft werden müssen?“
Marktforschung muss aus der Rolle des Beobachters ausbrechen und selbst zum Innovator werden, wenn sie nicht abgehängt werden will. Voraussetzung dafür ist vor allem technisches KnowHow. Im Digitalzeitalter hat aber nur derjenige nachhaltigen Erfolg, der neue Kommunikationswege erschließt und auch kontrolliert, wie Google Search, Apple iTunes, Amazon oder Facebook. Es ist der technische Vorsprung, der sie so erfolgreich macht.
Ausgehend von dieser Erkenntnis war uns klar, dass wir in der Marktforschung einen neuen Weg einschlagen müssen, wenn wir das Phänomen iPad/Tablet ergründen wollen. Uns war bewusst, dass die bestehenden Wege und Methoden inadäquat sind, der spezifischen Nutzungssituation und Motivation gerecht zu werden. Nur die direkte Befragung während der Tablet-Nutzung ergibt ein unverfälschtes Bild.
